Mordecai (Mordy) Katz z"l

Mordy was a gentle giant, a visionary of exceptional intelligence who knew how to think strategically
and turn dreams into action. An engineer in the aerospace industry, Mordy understood that the task
of the Jewish people is to unite heaven and earth. He gave generously and lived modestly.
May his memory continue to inspire us.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dr. Monique (Nicky) Katz, and his children:
Michael and Elissa Katz, Drs. Rachel Katz and Robert Sidlow, Gail Katz and Mayer Bick,
and Debbie Katz and Yechiel Newman and many loving grandchildren.

Fela Shapell z"l

who joins her husband David z'l in eternal rest in the holy soil of Eretz Yisrael.
She will be greatly mourned by her children, Rochelle Shapell, Benjamin Shapell, Irvin Shapell and their spouses,
by her nine grandchildren and her 13 great grandchildren.
Shiva will be observed at 104 HaEshel Street, Herzliya, during the following times: Sunday, February 21st, Monday, February 22nd, and Tuesday, February 23rd,
from 16:00-19:00

Former World Chairman of Keren Hayesod, recipient of the Israel Prize and Keren Hayesod Yakir Award. 
A leader whose vision and passion for the state of Israel was seen throughout his dedicated career as a Mossad emissary bringing Jews on Aliya, 
diplomat, Minister and Speaker of the Knesset.
The story of his life was interwoven into the history of the Jewish people, 
the state of Israel and Keren Hayesod.
